Wu Yu-Shih (also known as Xiao Shi)
An artist who appreciates the unique texture and warmth of watercolor and hand-drawn techniques.
Drawn to storytelling that conveys warmth and emotional depth, especially the complex entanglements between people.
Enjoys quietly observing others—and especially loves drawing girls.
Experience:
After being selected in a university comic competition, the artist has continued to pursue comic creation to this day.
In 2019, won the 10th Newcomer Comic Award with “Sea-Colored Polaris.”
Also in 2019, invited by the Tainan City Government’s Cultural Affairs Bureau to exhibit at Creative Expo Taiwan – Tainan Creative Center.
In 2020, participated in the Angoulême International Comics Festival (Taiwan Pavilion), with “Sea-Colored Polaris” licensed for a French edition.
Published works include: Sea-Colored Polaris, Goodbye Pinocchio, and For the Sake of Falling in Love with Spring.
Currently working across commercial comic serialization, doujin activities, and illustration commissions.
